The “DONT’s” & “DO’s” of Getting a Mortgage
When in the process of buying a home or refinancing a loan, there are some important things to remember:
Do not make any career changes (i.e., change jobs, quit job or become self-employed)
Do not spend any money you have set aside for closing or buy anything substantial (i.e., a new car, jewelry, furniture, etc.)
Do not use credit cards excessively or let current accounts fall behind
Do not omit debts or liabilities from your loan application
Do not originate any new inquiries into your credit (i.e., apply for a new credit card, refinance current auto loan, etc.)
Do not give or receive substantial transfers to or from your bank account(s) without checking with Team Get It Done first
Do not change bank accounts
Do not cosign a loan for anyone
